Students Helping Students
Empower The Future is a non-profit organization established in 2016. Our organization is driven by a single goal: supporting the youth in the community. We aim to connect high school students especially in inner-city schools with post-secondary students in a partnership that encourages personal, academic, and professional growth.
Life After High School
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great educational opportunities for inner-city students. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential.
Diversity in STEM
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies to help support women and BIPOC youth. Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) outreach is something that our team is working to make a positive impact.
Mental Wellness + You
We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing mental health. Mental wellness can be a difficult conversation to have, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and help support mental wellness.
FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM
The Future Leaders 12-week program supports youth in grades 10 to 12 by providing youth with positive role models through one-on-one mentorship, developing skills and sharing knowledge through tailored workshops, and offering the opportunity to contribute to their community while gaining work experience in a volunteer placement.
