FUTURE LEADERS PROGRAM MENTORS
Apply now to be a mentor for our upcoming project!
The Future Leaders 12-week program supports youth in grades 10 to 12 by providing youth with positive role models through one-on-one mentorship, developing skills and sharing knowledge through tailored workshops, and offering the opportunity to contribute to their community while gaining work experience in a volunteer placement.
From June 13 to September 2, post-secondary mentors will communicate virtually on a weekly basis with a high school mentee to help with post-secondary school applications, scholarship applications, questions about post-secondary programs and careers, and questions about finances, mental wellbeing, and academic workload.
We need 20 mentors from different programs and post-secondary institutions! Current post-secondary students in Metro Vancouver (Surrey, Delta, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Richmond, etc.) are invited to apply!
Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, May 27th, 2022.

Applicants should:

Have strong communication skills

Be interested in sharing your experience in post-secondary (such as applying for student loans, scholarships, registering for classes, joining clubs, etc.)

Be passionate about helping those in the community and making a difference

Have a positive energy and attitude

Be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities

Be able to commit to 1 hour per week of volunteering

Be able to respond quickly to messages via team chats and emails
